{The “K” Kids}

Last week I had the privilege of photographing the “K” kids.   I haven’t been very good at updating my blog lately since this is right in the middle of my busy season so I wanted to make sure I got a few up of these two before another week goes by.  Enjoy!

Here is Miss M

And Mr. T

And hey, who says brother/sister portraits have to be *boring*!!

{Jeremy and Mindy}

Jeremy and Mindy were married on 8.08.08 in Lincoln and it was a beautiful day!  The weather was amazing, can you believe it was only 85 degrees in August?  And with all the rain we have gotten lately everything was nice and green.

Jeremy and Mindy made time between all the formal church altar shots and the ceremony to go to the park to do some fun shots.  In my opinion every couple should try and make the time to do this because the resulting images always end up being the favorites from the day!

{Amanda}

Meet Amanda who will be a senior at Lincoln this next year.  This session was seriously so much fun for me-Amanda is so gorgeous and was so easy to pose.  Here are a couple from our session last week.

{Beautiful Shay}

 I really enjoyed my recent session with Shay who is a going to be a senior this next year at Lincoln.  She has such a cool “soulful” look and she was a blast to shoot.

{Boys}

Aren’t these little guys just adorable!  I especially love how “Big V” is being such a good brother and making sure “Little V” doesn’t fall off the step.

{Travis and Krista}

Travis and Krista were so much fun at their recent engagment session.  It just makes my job so much fun when the couple is oozing love for one another!!  Maybe that had something to do with Travis recently returning home from Iraq. ;)  Anyway, these two were absolutely adorable and I can’t wait for the wedding in November.

{Stephanie and Jeff}

John and I are back from our AZ vacation and while we were there, I photographed the wedding of my best friend Stephanie to the love of her life, Jeff.  I was so happy it worked out so I could be there.

Here is a shot of Steph and Jeff.  The wedding was a intimate lakeside ceremony held at sunset.

Here is the new family.

I loved this shot of Jeff and his kids.  They played a special role in the entire day and even had a special front row seat.  They were so excited about the wedding!!

Here is Jeff when he got his first look at his beautiful bride.

 I took a few shots of the kids before the wedding.  Aren’t the boys just adorable in their matching outfits?

I loved this shot of Stephanie and Miss K.  K thought that all the wedding day primping was pretty fun.

Steph was getting ready in this amazing bedroom and I knew I wanted to use it for some photos.

And finally here is one of Steph and me.  Goofy-just like old times! :)

{On Vacation}

John and I are headed to warmer weather!!  For some reason that doesn’t sound good, just hot.  I never ever win anything and by some miracle I won a vacation to Scottsdale, AZ.  Since I am from the Phoenix area, it was extra exciting because I get to see my family.  It should be a busy trip though.  I am photographing a wedding on Saturday and have a few other session lined up as well.  But it won’t all be work, we are going to Vegas too!  We will be gone July 25th-August 4th and I will be unavailable by phone or email.  I will return all messages when I return.

And since I can’t post without posting some images….

Here is Miss R from the Fair

And Miss B

{Teryn and Neil}

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of being the wedding photographer for Teryn and Neil in Russell, KS.  It was a beautiful day and the whole wedding was amazing!

Here is one of my favorite shots of the bride and groom together.

The whole wedding party was a blast.

This was my first time shooting at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  The stained glass created such a beautiful atmosphere for the ceremony.

 And of course I had to share the first kiss as husband and wife.  (Oh and for my photographer friends, this was my first wedding with the D3 and there was seriously no noise at ISO3200-I actually added grain b/c I dig it.)

This shot was taken in the “Secret Garden” in the center of the church.  I loved the location!

 The reception was decorated so beautifully.  I loved the butterflies gracefully perched on branches with the jade plant.  The plants and butterflies have a very special meaning to the family and were perfect!

 This is a shot of my amazing wedding assistant/second shooter Melissa.

Because I know she hates having her picture taken I will post one of myself in the interest of equality.

{Lovies}

Lovies….that’s what my friend Susan calls them.  You know, it’s that special blanket, stuffed animal or toy whose mere presence relaxes and calms children down.  I love incorporating the “lovies” in my sessions because it just captures a moment in time.  Here are a couple of the “lovies” that I captured lately.

So I know there is no “lovie” in the shot below, but I wanted to share it because I loved it.  These girls were so adorable!
