Yearly Archives: 2009

{Merry Christmas}

2009 has been a year full of blessings and change.  In May I finally opened my studio location, in July we welcomed the birth of our son Kale and I quit my day job in order to be a full time mom and photographer.  During this Christmas season as I reflect on what I am thankful for, I think of all my clients.  I appreciate every one of you and am so thankful that you have allowed me to document a small piece of you life and provide you with memories that I hope you love today and treasure tomorrow.

I will be taking the next few weeks off on vacation and to enjoy some family time.  But before I started my break I wanted to share Kale’s 20 week photo.

I wish you God’s blessing this Christmas season and I look forward to seeing you in 2010!

Merry Christmas!

{Love the Snow}

Ummm…I think the title should read “couples in love in the snow” because I definitely do not love the snow.  Maybe it’s because I was born and raised in Arizona or maybe it’s just because it’s cold, and wet.  Anyway, believe it or not I was actually pretty excited about doing two engagement sessions in the snow.  Afterwards when my jeans were wet up to my knees and my feet were frozen the excitement was over but I loved the images and am actually hoping for some more snow next time I have an outdoor session.

Since it is Christmas Eve and I should probably go to bed so Santa can come pay us a visit I will just share my favorite shot from these two sessions.

This is Emily and Eric.  They are getting married in January in McPherson.  They are just absolutely adorable and so much in love.  I really enjoyed this session and can’t wait for their wedding.

Meet Carl and Mary who are getting married in April in Salina.  Carl and my husband John grew up together and I am so happy that they are going to live near us after they get married.  I know there are many fun times ahead!!

{Derrick and Afton}

Derrick and Afton had a beautiful December day for their wedding in Russell.

B1

Afton was a gorgeous bride and Derrick was a fun groom.

B2

Their ceremony was really beautiful.

B3

The wedding party was a fun group.  I loved this shot of them taken in an alley in Russell.

Finally, I am not sure what this was all about???  But it was too funny not to include.  Everyone needs a chicken at their wedding right?

{Oh my poor blog}

It’s been so long I actually forgot my password.  The Christmas season definitely has me busy and in order to catch up I am going to blog a bunch of images at once.

{Mason}

This is Mason who is a 2010 Senior from Natoma.  For the longest time I have liked to look at classic senior photos from the 50’s and 60’s….you know the ones where they aren’t looking at the camera.  There is just something that is really classic and beautiful about them.  I had been thinking I should try and do something like that with each of my seniors now.  Well, Mason gave me that opportunity when he brought his dad’s senior photo to the session.  They could be identical twins!  It was really fun to try and duplicate the shot.

Here is another one of my favs from the session!
