{Afton and Derreck}

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Afton and Derreck’s engagement session.  They will be getting married this December in Russell and I am really looking forward to the wedding.  Afton and Derreck have been dating for several years and are absolutely adorable together!

Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

I always wanted to do this montage shot…..

Derreck is a farmer so I hope he likes this shot.

And last but not least, Derreck’s bull and his babies.  He was kind of cute, as far as bulls go I guess.

{Baby Bump}

Maternity images aren’t something I get to blog about very often!  Being pregnant myself, I understand that while this is a very special and exciting time in a woman’s life, it also is a time when you just don’t feel too comfortable in your own skin.  It is easy to think that you will never forget what it’s like to have a baby bump, just like I forget what it was like to have a (semi) flat stomach!  However, I have never heard anyone say they regret having a maternity session done, but I have heard lots of times from women who regret not having it done.

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing a maternity session for a beautiful family from Salina who is anxiously awaiting the birth of a beautiful baby girl.   Here are a few of my favorite images “sharable” images from the session.

{Sweet Miss M}

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Miss M who is soon to be two years old.  Her curls and big brown eyes were so cute!  Miss M’s mom is expecting another baby and is due a couple of days before me and I probably bombarded her with too many pregnancy questions!  I did learn one new thing….keeping up with an energetic toddler when you are pregnant is a lot of work!

While this one probably isn’t your traditional portrait, I love it!
