{Kale is Finally Here}

I am so happy to post that I am no longer pregnant and that baby Kale is finally here!  He was born on 7/22 at 3:33PM and weighed 9lbs 15oz and was 21.5″ long.  Needless to say the “little” tyke was delivered by c-section so I was so thankful that my friend Susan could do some newborn photos!

{Do you Etsy?}

Well I am still hanging out at home….waiting, waiting and waiting for the baby to make his/her arrival.  All this free time has given me lots of internet time and I thought I would share one of my favorite shopping websites with you.

Etsy is a website where people sell all sorts of handmade goods.  I think anything you could ever want can be found on this website from clothes, art, jewelery, thread, toys….you name it, you can find it on Etsy.  It’s not just baby stuff, there is something for everyone on this site.

Check out this way cute hospital gown I will be wearing if my baby ever decides to be born….no standard issue hospital gown for me.  It is from Lilly and Lou.

And I LOVE this wooden teething toy from littlealouette.

Anyway, next time you are looking for something special….take a peek at Etsy….LOVE IT!!

{Up Close and Personal}

Several months ago I bought the Nikon 105mm macro lens for weddings because I love the detail shots (rings, shoes, flowers, etc.) that you can get with this lens.  In case you don’t know what a macro lens does, it basically allows you to take close up shots of things with an extremely shallow depth of field.  I have to admit that have been so busy with sessions and weddings that I have never really gotten the lens out to just play with it. Since things have slowed down since my maternity leave I decided it was time to get it out and have some fun.

I am sure the 9 mo preggo lady laying on the ground to get this was quite a sight.  And no, this dandelion was not taken in *my* yard, which is of course 100% weed free! (riiiiight)

And of course I had to take some wheat shots.
